The locally produced Volvo S40 shows for the first time at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition

(July 24 th 2006 Guangzhou ) Today, both Sweden 's carmaker Volvo Car Cooperation and Volvo Car's agent CFMA attended the 2006 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. Volvo Car showed many popular models from the V8 series and Volvo XC90 2.5T. In addition, the locally produced Volvo S40 showed for the first time and attracted much attention.

Much Attention Paid to Southern Market

This is the third time for Volvo Car to take part in the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. The southern market in China is always an important market for Volvo Car. The Chinese general manager of Volvo Car Cooperation, Ni Lida, attended Volvo's news release campaign and gave a speech in Guangzhou .

In the First Half of 2006, Volvo Car Saw Outstanding Sales

By the end of June, the total sales volume was 3,200 units, which was an increase of 31% compared with the same period of last year. At this exhibition, a Volvo car owner, Gao Shiying, told the story of helping the Tibet mountaineering team to climb Mount Everest with three XC90s. This story explained the concept of ˇ°XC Challenge, Transcend the Best Bournˇ± and expressed to Chinese consumers the spirit of XC90 ˇ°Challenge, Healthy and Transcend the Best Bournˇ±.

The president of WAK Group, Gao Shiying, is an Australian citizen of Chinese origin, and he is also the originator of WAK Group Biological Technology. He pays much attention to quality of life and seeks every opportunity to enjoy life. Now he has 6 Volvo cars. In April 2006, under the help of the Tibet mountaineering team, he drove his Volvo XC90 to an altitude of 5187 meter on Mount Everest . They started their trip in Chengdu and passed through 26 regions; covering about 11,464 kilometers. The journey lasted about 1 month.
