On International Children's Day, the students of an elementary school in Chishui town, Shanxi province had reason to celebrate. The Samsung Anycall Hope Project in cooperation with the China Youth Development Fund donated 20 0 , 0 00RMB to the Center Elementary School . The school, renamed Samsung Anycall Hope Elementary School , honored Samsung Anycall Ltd. with a ceremonial foundation at the school. The ceremony was attended by the president of China Samsung Anycall, the vice-director of China Youth Development Fund Gu Xiaojin, the Young Pioneer's vice-secretary of Shanxi province Tang Liru and the secretary of Shanxi Youth Development Fund Chen Ruyi.

The Center Elementary School of Chishui town is located in Chishuicun. It was founded in 1970. It currently enrolls 224 students and has 16 employees. Huaxian's lack of funds has left the school's 1026 square meters of land in disrepair. Samsung Anycall's donation will repair and enlarge the classrooms that are currently in dangerous shape. In addition, Samsung will allocate 10, 0 00RMB for gym equipment and books.

At the ceremony, the president of China Samsung Anycall said, “It is an honor to be present at this ceremony at the Center Elementary School on this special International Children's Day. Samsung Anycall will continue to follow its philosophy, “Take root in China , serve China ” as we further our commitment to improving education in this country.”

Gu Xiaojin, the vice-director of China Youth Development Fund commented, “Samsung Anycall has an impressive and accurate reputation. We believe through our cooperation with Samsung the Center Elementary School will greatly improve. We hope to provide a better learning environment and give the children opportunity to fulfill their dreams.”

Tang Liru, the vice-secretary of Young Pioneers in Shanxi province said, “The Center Elementary School has been an important part of Shanxi province for 36 years. Unfortunately because of its age and the poor economic situation it has been left in utter disrepair. Now with Samsung's generous donation we can greatly improve the teaching environment. Samsung has clearly demonstrated its commitment to improving education in China .”

Since the founding of Samsung Anycall Hope Project in 2004, it has donated to 15 schools located in Hebei , Tianjin , Liaoning and Heilongjiang provinces. In 2006 the fund will donate money to an additional 15 schools, one of which is the Center Elementary School in Chishui town. These new recipient schools are located in Shanxi , Anhui Jiangxi, Henan , Hubei , Hunan , Guangxi, Hainan , Guizhou , Sichuan , Gansu , Xinjiang and Xizang and are planned to be completed at the end of 2006. By 2007 Samsung Anycall plans to have helped a total of 45 schools and donated 900,000RMB.

Pegasus Communications Ltd. was the lead organizer for the Center Elementary School ceremony and helped Samsung Anycall with further public relations. According to both the local and general media response, the ceremony successfully expressed Samsung Anycall's philosophy of “Take root in China , serve China .”
