Siemens launches three month road show to present advanced power transmission and distribution technologies to support China 's electric power industry
On June 1, 2005, the Siemens China Power Transmission and Distribution (PTD) Group kicked off a nationwide road show in China . Titled ˇ°Deliver Power to China ˇ± the tour will start in Guangzhou and visit 14 cities in China to end in Beijing on August 26, 2005. During the three month long road show, a distance of more than
15,000 kilometers will be covered. Siemens PTD will showcase its full range of innovative technologies and China specific solutions to its customers and partners in China 's power industry. The road show is a visible sign of Siemens' commitment to help develop China's electrical power industry and make a contribution to national and regional economic development and prosperity.
The ˇ°Deliver Power to China ˇ± road show is the first major campaign of its kind that Siemens PTD rolls out in the local market. It serves as an important platform for direct communication with Chinese power industry experts, and presents the Group's advanced solutions meeting the special needs of China 's power industry. The road show comprises four container trucks, which will be visiting Guangzhou , Fuzhou , Hangzhou , Nanjing , Shanghai , Wuhan , Nanning , Chengdu , Lanzhou , Xi'an , Zhengzhou , Tianjin , Shenyang and Beijing . In each of these key locations, Siemens PTD will introduce its latest technologies, products, solutions and successful applications in China to power supply and power generating customers, partners, design institutes, universities as well as the general public.
At each stop of the road show, Siemens will arrange a container exhibition, movie shows, and seminars to allow visitors to familiarize themselves with PTD's comprehensive portfolio of high-voltage equipment, medium-voltage switchgears, transformers and energy automation products, which will allow them to better understand the benefits these bring to China 's power industry and society at large. Industry experts and engineers will be encouraged to introduce local market needs, and to discuss with Siemens experts on how to utilize Siemens technologies to meet the increasing demand for electric power.
