Siemens Exider China Tour ¨C Press
Conference |
Pegasus Communications, as the partner of Siemens Automation
and Drives Group in the Exider project, has been responsible
for the planning and execution of the 16-city roadshow since
July 2003. Its tasks in this huge project include guest invitation,
customer database building, advertisement design and release,
nationwide media relations, online promotions, staging design
and setup, professional lighting and sound, filming and editing,
roadshow equipment manufacturing, and overall management and
logistics. Due to the interdependency of these tasks, the
high level of quality and efficiency demanded to ensure seamless
transition is by industry standards almost unmatchable. And
to achieve this high level of quality and efficiency, Pegasus
and its partners devoted over 100 staff members, with 40 or
more traveling along the roadshow. Also, over 900 workers
were trained and employed in the cities along the way.
Previously, Exider has toured 25 countries and more than
200 cities in Europe. Despite a wealth of experience collected
and that can be shared, Pegasus Communications was still faced
with the difficulties of hosting a successful tour on the
platforms of many dilapidated train stations in China and
carrying out the professionalism of the entire Chinese PR
industry. In addition, the uniqueness of a railway roadshow,
the constant changes in time and location, and the outdoor
factor all added more risks to the planning and execution
of the Exider tour. It is after repeated discussions and multilateral
approval that Pegasus Communications positioned the roadshow
in a combination of international and ethnic styles, devised
a precise but workable execution plan, and began the massive
preparation phase. From the overall management of large industrial
shows down to the design of cups and napkins, from the constant
communications with media nationwide down to the purchase
of sugar-free snacks, Pegasus¡¯ creativity and professionalism
was demonstrated in every facet of this tour and was the key
to its success. For this, Pegasus received high marks from
various customers and German counterparts.
In the thank-you letter from Siemens China¡¯s vice president,
Mr. Schmidt, he stated that as the Chinese partner on the
Exider tour, ¡°Pegasus was professional and trustworthy.¡± And
¡°Exider has had its best experience in China!¡± To receive
such compliments from the client has justified all of the
hard work Pegasus¡¯ staff has put in. And at the same time,
as a local communications company, Pegasus is proud of the
fast growth of China¡¯s PR industry!
