Siemens (China) Automation & Drives Group recently announced that Exider, a train carrying its latest technologies, will soon arrive in China. This train has already garnered ovations from more than 100 cities in Europe by providing a new refreshing scientific experience and showcasing a comprehensive industrial solutions plan. It is currently set to enter China from Russia at the end of September. With the support of the Ministry of Railways, Exider will visit 16 cities on its China tour, including Haerbin, Changchun, Shenyang, Beijing, Tianjin, Jinan, Nanjing, Shanghai , Wuhan, Zhenzhou, Xian, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guiyang and Guangzhou, then finally finish in Shenzhen by early December.

As the official communications company for Siemens, Pegasus will arrange for the entire China tour. At this time, event management, guest invitation, media promotion, onsite staging and all other activities are proceeding according to schedule.

Exider consists of 14 cars, stretching 280 meters, and weighing 580 tons. It is truly a mobile exhibition hall containing displays, models, videos and multimedia exhibitions that all demonstrate the latest technologies in industrial automation and their applications. With more than 40,000 of its products, systems, solutions and services on display in Exider, Siemens Automation and Drives Group hopes to show China the future trends in industrial and basic structure building.

As the first of its kind in “mobile communications” between enterprises and customers, Exider’s Europe tour was a huge success. The train first left Prague, Czechoslovakia on March 20, 2002 and then traveled through more than 100 cities in over 20 countries. The praises from industry experts and general visitors along the way were overwhelming. People were particularly impressed by the interactive nature of the entire exhibition, which brought the products, systems and solutions face to face with the visitors. According an onsite survey of the visitors, 81% said they would recommend Exider to their peers. More than half of the visitors were completed surprised by but approved the ingenious yet practical design of Exider. The average visitor toured Exider for more than one hour.
